Items for the VDG-News - Their value and benefits
A published article in the professional journal of a trade association is valuable. It can be free advertising for you, it gives readers an outlook onto the wider world of their profession, and it offers diverse insights into all facets of the trade.
Getting social with Instagram and Facebook
With the help of integrated QR-codes, items in our journal can be linked to the social media presence of the VDG, thus adding further information about companies or individuals.
Ads or job postings wanted?
The national and international reach and strength of our publication should not be underestimated.

Writing articles for the VDG-News You contribute content – we offer support
Your answers can form the frame of an article. You are also welcome to use an introduction from your website and edit it to lead to the subject that you wish to explore further.
To make an article interesting, pictures of products, people, company premises and/or workshops in high quality are invaluable (size minimum 10x15cm at 300dpi, around 30-40MB).
An article should span across around 4 pages with font and size Arial 9.5 – including pictures.
The article at a glance
With every article, we ask for a picture of the author, so that our readers can connect a name to a face. This adds further interest to the piece.
Just underneath that, we include a brief overview, so that the reader can get a first impression and decide whether or not the topic is of interest to them.

With the help of integrated QR-codes, items in our journal can be linked to the social media presence of the VDG, thus adding further information about companies or individuals. Therefore, we are not only interested in company websites, but also in other online media, such as videos of the company on YouTube.
Not everyone takes to writing
- but don’t let that discourage you! We are here to help and support you. Every submission will be edited by us with great care and responsibility. You have given the article character, which we want to preserve and enhance. For this reason, we send our edited version back to you for approval. Once you are happy, the article will be proof read by two further people.
Under pressure?
Not with us! We publish four issues of the VDG-News every year, just pick the issue that suites you best. The final submission deadlines each year are as follows:
VDGN 01: 15. February
VDGN 02: 15. May
VDGN 03: 15. August
VDGN 04: 15. November
